I had LASIK surgery done on November 24, 2006, and couldn't be happier! I have been wearing glasses or contacts since I was seven years old. There was so much that I missed out on while growing up because the glasses got in the way. My eyes were fairly bad, so going without my glasses was never an option. Sports were nearly impossible and going to the beach and swimming was a real challenge.
Living for several years in the chilly Midwest, every time I came in from outdoors in the winter my glasses immediately fogged over. I would have to stand still just inside the door and wait for the “fog” to pass. I am also an avid outdoorsman and hunting in the cold Michigan woods with glasses is really difficult. If I wore a face mask or scarf, the warm air from my breath fogged up my glasses. Contacts dry out very fast in cold temperatures. What a pain!
My surgery was performed by Dr. Mark Walker at the Renton center. He talked me through the entire procedure and the techs that did all my pre- and post-operative counseling were excellent! I can now see at a level of 20/15 and wake up every morning with clear vision!
I trust Restore Vision Centers and Dr. Walker so much that I hope to fly my two grown daughters out here to have the procedure done by him as well.
