REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS

Customized wavefront LASIK treatment is relatively new. FDA trials show the following results:

Initial Results with VISX Star 4 wavefront Treatment

At 6 months after LASIK, 74% of eyes in the clinical study were 20/16 or better and 94% were 20/20 or better.

Restore Vision Centers has the most experience in the Northwest when it comes to providing wavefront treatment. Less than 4-6% of our patients (compared to 10-12% nationally) require enhancement (touch-up laser treatment applied after primary correction). We are confident our results are superior to any other center.

Our most recently compiled statistics with standard LASIK and PRK show that more than 99 percent of our nearsighted patients achieve 20/40 vision – vision strong enough to drive without corrective eyewear. What's more, 90 percent of our patients enjoy 20/20 vision or better, and more than 30 percent report 20/15 or better! No one can guarantee 20/20 vision, but we do everything we can to afford you the best vision correction possible.

The table below highlights the results our nearsighted patients have achieved after standard LASIK or PRK treatment at Restore Vision Centers. These are post-primary treatment results that would be improved if we relied on after-enhancement statistics or removed the statistics of patients who cannot achieve perfect vision – even with visual aids. When comparing, please note that some centers do publish statistics that have been altered in the ways mentioned above.
